Overgrown vegetation isn’t just a nuisance on your lawn! Allowing weeds and vines to grow onto the roof can cause surface damage or drainage issues. Make sure to cut or brush away any vegetation that’s made it to your roof or drainage system!
AVOID DRY ROT
The key to making sure that your home’s wood doesn’t rot is having proper ventilation. Find the source of any rotting or leakage, and properly air out the area. Keep any surfaces clean and dry, and repair any areas that may be gathering moisture.
